The Way was blessed to sponsor seven students to attend Hillcrest Christian Kid's Camp (June 1-5) near Cave In Rock IL. For most of these young men (6th graders) it was their first time at camp. The Camp Director, Chris Downing (Pastor Canton Baptist Church) was camp director and once again did a fantastic job of planning and organizing a week that ministered to students spiritually, physically, and mentally. Brother Chris is a wonderful man of GOD with a servant's heart and we Praise the LORD for him.The Way has been blessed to sponsor over 100 students in the past four years (both Kid's and Youth Camp) and plan to sponsor 15 more for the Youth Camp (grades 7-12) scheduled for July 27-31.Thanks to Churches and other Christians of Trigg County for making it possible for these young men to attend.Students pictured below:Standing: L-R David Sadler, Khade Cherry, Chandler Choate, Brycen Aquilar, and Rylan Nott."Reclining" (back to front). Congratulations to Brittany Calhoun for being the second Trigg Countian to get their GED in 2026. Brittany actually attended The Way on occasion while in middle school. In 2024, one of The Way's board members told Brittany about it hosting GED programs. She was excited because of the geographical location and comfort level with The Way. While family situations prevented her from enrolling until this year, she did so and graduated on Tuesday May 19th. Please see below photo taken by WKEC instructor Jason Asher. Congratulations Brittany!!! We are very proud of you. ... See MoreSee Less

A special thanks to Sister Katie Sumner who coordinates with and schedules over a dozen other "instructors" to make sure students have the opportunity to enjoy arts and crafts almost every day to keep them engaged in meaningful and productive pursuits while at The Way. The program has truly blossomed this school year, under Sister Katie's leadership. Katie also has promoted to our students the annual arts and crafts contest at Janice Mason Art Museum and successfully encouraged them to submit some of their works of art. We have some very talented students and are so proud of them for submitting more than 10 of the items in above display cabinet. The Way had both 2nd and 3rd place finishers. ... See MoreSee Less

The Way is blessed of GOD to again be selected by radio listeners as being the best Youth Center in Western Kentucky. We praise our LORD for all HE has done at HIS ministry, called "The Way", since HE opened the doors of our first building in May 2011. Thank you so much to all those Churches and individual Christians, in Trigg County and beyond, for their prayers, encouragement, and generous support. Thanks to Trigg County parents who trust us with their students. Thanks to WKDZ radio and their sister stations (especially GM Beth Mann) for their support throughout the years and for sponsoring the BOWK contest. A special thanks to those volunteers who sacrifice so much to show the love of CHRIST to students, in both word and deed. ... See MoreSee Less

he Way was blessed to have 18 students participate the 2026 Discipleship Now (DNOW) hosted by Southside Baptist Church in Princeton on 6-7 March. This is the 4th DNOW in the past 5 years and the 6th Youth Rally in which The Way has participated. We are thankful to both Christian and Caldwell County Associations for inviting us each year. A special thanks to Bro. Josh Drake, Youth Minister at Southside for organizing the event. This DNOW theme was "Identity in CHRIST". The speaker, Bro. Steve Coleman, a Youth Minister during 5 different decades including many years at New Work Fellowship in Hopkinsville, did an amazing job as did the worship music team from the Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) of Murray State University. We are so proud of our students who were able to attend. They were challenged to behave in a way that well represented Trigg County, The Way, and most of all our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. They certainly met the challenge, during worship, small groups and during all weekend activities (lock in, scavenger hunt, meals, etc.). It was a special blessing to the adult chaperones (Ken Traub, Kathy Gibson, Katie and Lewis Sumner, Alejandra and Luis Melendez, Nathan Phelps, Kandy Garrett, Terry Kirby, Denise Young, Marc Frye, and myself and others) to minister to these students, serving both their spiritual and physical needs for the weekend. Please enjoy just a few photos of many taken over the weekend. Thank you and GOD bless you, especially during this Resurrection Weekend. ... See MoreSee Less

Thanks so much to Sisters Laura Miller and Tea Massiotti, of Alpha Pregnancy Center, for sharing with our students that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139: 13-18) by a loving GOD. They were both amazing! Sixteen students (8 young women and 8 young men) learned, from a Christian perspective, that life begins at conception and is sacred to GOD. The characteristics and abilities of a fetus, at each stage of pregnancy, were discussed in loving detail as was services provided to expectant parents. This seminar is held almost every school year along with "Drug and Alcohol Abuse", "Suicide Awareness and Prevention" and other topics of interest to students. It was wonderful to see Sister Laura who volunteered with The Way for over 5 years while working in Trigg Schools. She was enthusiastically greeted by the students she had served. Laura front left and Tea front right answer the many questions posed by our teens on Friday March 27th. ... See MoreSee Less
