The Way Annex, “The Barn”, housing Trigg Schools Clothes Closet and storage areas for Faith Based Scouting Programs, American Heritage Girls and Trail Life Boys, and other ministry needs took a giant step forward towards being open at start of 2022-23 School Year, thanks to ACE Drywall. ACE Drywall and owner John Oliver, have been wonderful supporters of the LORD’s Ministry at The Way for over six years. They have assisted in numerous ways including (1) providing materials at cost and free labor for completion of The Way’s main building which opened in March 2017; (2) providing complimentary storage space in his warehouses for items donated for The Way’s Yard Sale; (3) donating personal items plus business materials for yard sales, etc. etc. Most recently GOD used ACE Drywall to help prepare Annex for opening, as stated above. This was truly a “GOD thing”. ACE had a young man who wanted to donate some labor to the community. John called and asked if The Way had need of any assistance. It “just so happened”, Laura Shelton, Trigg Schools Horizons Resource Center, was trying to determine how to get carpet squares installed in the Teen Clothes Closet. Both Schools and The Way were trying to research badly needed shelving solutions. When we shared the need for carpet installation with John, “coincidentally”, the young man happened to be an experienced carpet installer. When carpet completed, Laura and others were discussing shelving. John overheard and had an enormous smile as he said “did you say you need shelving”? It “just so happened” ACE had several warehouses of shelving units it had purchased from Fred’s Dollar and other stores which had closed. Long story short -----John brought samples for us to choose from and now Schools and The Way have all the quality shelving we need at far below value and ACE installed it free of charge. John has also volunteered to draft some drawings for The Way’s proposed Education/Discipleship Building. Thank you, ACE Drywall and John Oliver. Please see below pictures. ... See MoreSee Less

The Way’s Annex is structurally complete. Still need some cosmetic work on outside and inside, but it is functional and ready for use. Thanks to Jimi and Braxton Oakley, Premier Construction and Land Services, (see picture below) and others for making the renovation vision of Marc Frye, Jerry Schisler and others come to fruition for a building to provide a Teen Clothes Closet and badly needed storage for The Way. Thanks to Trigg Schools, Superintendent Bill Thorpe and School Board, for agreeing in 2020 to sell property and buildings to The Way at appraised amount. GOD has already used the building as a prayer area during “Experiencing GOD Weekend For Teens” and several decisions were made to accept and/or draw closer to CHRIST in the unfinished building. Thanks to each of you. GOD has honored your faithfulness and dedication by continuing to bless HIS ministry at The Way in sharing the love of CHRIST in word and deed. . ... See MoreSee Less

GOD blessed The Way to be able to send 17 students to ”Crossings” Jonathan Creek (in Aurora ) for a 24 hour Christian Youth Retreat. It was the first Christian Camp experience for almost all our students, including 4 new Christians. Our students joined approximately 130 others from Western Kentucky (mostly Christian County) to enjoy numerous activities including zip line, laser tag, and other activities; most importantly 3 worship services. So many to thank starting with Michael Graening, Youth Pastor of Edgewood Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, who gave The Way an opportunity to attend at an affordable rate. Thanks to Christian McKenzie, Youth Minister of Harrisburg 1st Baptist Church in Harrisburg IL and Camp Director of Hillcrest Baptist Assembly in Cave In Rock IL (across the Ohio River from Marion KY), who took six of his students and led our group. Thanks to Christian’s Sister, Sarah Taylor, and Mother, Julie Hollis, who along with Jessica Crenshaw and Jackie Brown representing The Way and Phoenix Antis of Clear Creek Bible College were our Camp Counselors. Thanks to Ashley and Jamie Stewart for driving our students up on Friday afternoon. Carl was blessed to be able to drive up Saturday to worship with our students and bring them home. ... The Way and Trigg Schools are so appreciate to Cadiz Police Department and especially Chief Duncan Wiggins and Officer Sean Young for organizing and presenting an overview of Law Enforcement to our students. Twenty students are enrolled and sixteen are expected to graduate. This is the largest class so far in WATW. The workshop, developed and coordinated by Officer Young, has covered multiple aspects of law enforcement; including types and career fields, dangers of drug abuse and types of drug paraphernalia, Forest Service experiences, equipment familiarization, etc. However, the most important benefits of the workshop are the relationships being forged between officers and students and the understanding of Law Enforcement’s role to “protect and serve”. ... Below are some photos to express our appreciation for those “Unsung” Heroes from Churches and organizations which provide monthly Spiritual and physical support to our students. They provide the evening meal for many of our students and snacks for many more. Any excess food is normally sent home with students who request or we know Family would appreciate. Thanks so much to our Food Providers/Unsung Heroes, and Coordinator, Nell Weer, who make this ministry possible. ... See MoreSee Less
