PROUD sponsors Stacey Woods and Nacy Harper stand on one of drain boxes they modified to meet state code at The Way`s new building site. Stacey says, “I am always glad to help when I can. I’m so happy to see The Way reach out to the youth now and in the future.” Nacy said, “I enjoy giving back to the community and to help get The Way started.” They both agreed that The Way will benefit the youth of Trigg County for a long time.

The theatrical production of Lewis Carroll's "Alice In Wonderland" will be Great!!!! The cast, including and especially Director Erika Steip, have worked so hard for many weeks. Praise the LORD for them all!!! The play is going to be AMAZING!!! Over 100 tickets have been sold, but there are still many available for each night. The Way is so grateful to the wonderful folks at the Bank of Cadiz for their kindness and thoughtfulness towards our students. On the eve (Thursday) of three of the Holiest days for Christians, they brought presents for each of the students at The Way ------giant eggs filled with candy and other items---all with a Christian witness. This innovative, artistic and greatly appreciated gesture took hours of preparation . Each of the over 55 students who received enjoyed immensely, as will others to receive the few remaining. The Way is so blessed to be the sponsoring ministry of the American Heritage Girls and Trail Life USA Boys. Both were chartered in early 2021. These are wonderful faith based scouting programs which emphasize GOD, Family, Country and Character. There are over 1,000 chapters throughout the United States. Both programs are doing well and we are so grateful for the contributions of their leaders, past and present. We are especially excited about recent additional leadership and students in the younger troops.The below picture was taken on Saturday March 22nd on a camp out at LBL. Trail Life KY0146 (from John 14:6) enjoyed GOD's Creation and the great outdoors during their overnight trip. A 2 mile hike around Hematite Lake, devotions, smores, and Christian fellowship made it extra special. The second semester of the 2023-24 is going well. We had approximately 40 students sign up and, as always, ten or so have already dropped out. For those that successfully complete 5 of 6 weeks, a field trip to "City Forum" awaits; probably Saturday April 13th . We will leave The Way at 10 AM and return by 3 PM. We are going to need adults to help chaperone. Please prayerfully consider. Congratulations to The Way's Junior High Chess Team (Peyton Rojas, Dawson Moore, David Shirley, and Daniel Baumann) and their Coach Pat Crane for a 5th place finish in the Commonwealth's annual championship tournament. Most of these young men have learned chess from Pat in the past 1-2 years and are really honing their skills in the Wednesday afternoon Chess Club. Special congratulations to Dawson Moore who was undefeated in 4 matches.We are proud of all this young men and even more proud of Bro. Pat for sacrificing his time and resources to mentor these and about 7 other students. The Way has been blessed to have had 30 students make professions of faith in CHRIST in the past two school years. We are always looking for ways to help them know more about how to live a Christian life and to grow closer to the SAVIOR.This past Saturday, a "New Christian Class" was held at The Way for eight of those students who made decisions. This is the 3rd such class since January 2023 and more than 20 students total have attended. Another method to help students grow in CHRIST is "DNOW" (Discipleship Now). Last year over 30 students went to DNOW at Edgewood Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. On March 3rd and 4th , thanks to the support of our wonderful Church partners, another 30 will be participating in DNOW at Southside Baptist Church in Princeton.
